I had an old compressor crippled for years, which was heavy and difficult to use. I decided to buy a portable device and a friend had bought the Makita MAC 700 a few months earlier. He raved about how quiet and fast this drive was. I took him at his word and ordered it and in about 5 days, was delivereed. Set-up was easy and the unit is quiet and very portable. It is a powerful unit, and a little 'heavier than most, it ' s size, but this is due to its solid construction andThe lack of plastic parts. The only thing I see that the plastic shroud over the pump and motor. All in all, this device is not anything I need for the home.
