Campbell Hausfeld air compressor

1989 Campbell Hausfeld air compressor. 60 Gallon Vertical, single stage. 5HP (special) 230 volt, 1 phase. This compressor has served its duty and then some. I have replaced the motor, belt, pressure switch and the pressure gage. And now for the last year and a half it has developed a wicked knock which I am assuming that one of the rods is about to let loose. It also has gotten significantly slower in the last couple of years. It takes about 3 minutes to get from 90 psi up to 125 psi. When it finally gives out, I will replace the entire unit with an 80 gallon vertical 2 stage, 5HP (true 5 HP) 230 volt 1 phase. I have been doing a LOT of research on a new unit. Everything from Pump RPM to head valve type to head unload technique to standard features as well of manufacture origin. CFM ratings from 15.9-18.2 @175 PSI. I've been comparing: C-Aire, Campbell Hausfeld, CAS (Compressed Air Systems of IL), Castair, DevAir, Eaton Compressor (Polar Air / E-Max) FS Curtis, Ingersoll Rand (type 30), Jenny (formerly Emglo), Mi-TM, Quincy, Saylor Beall, Speedaire (Grainger brand), and Sullivan Palatek.

How to Customize a Universal Cold Air Intake Filter System

Spectre Performance demonstrates in this video how to customize a universal cold air intake kit using parts you can find at your local neighborhood Pep Boys. Using universal parts you can simply assemble them in any fashion to create the look you want to make. First we take off the existing air cleaner and install a single 4 inch plenum. Lay the plenum where your air filter was and put it in any direction you like. Screw on the plenum with the existing air filter nut or a custom nut of your choice. You will need couplers that will connect the different intake tubes together that can be turned to mold within your engine compartment. Simply slide on the coupler to the plenum and fit accordingly. Secure the clamp on the coupler to the ridge inside and then you can add additional tubing for the length you desire. Remember not to tighten the clamps too hard, because you may need to move your tubing around until you create a final fit. Rotate and adjust as needed. Attach your air filter to the end of the tubing. You can find inserts that go into the filter to accommodate a 3 or 3.5 inch tube. Once you have the final placement in place, be sure then to go back and tighten all of the clamps to hold the filter system securely in place. Airowgun Slingshot Mania

The Airowgun is originally a product made by a commercial company for regular bows. It allows to shoot .22 pellets instead of arrows, using an air compressor. The dowel replaces the arrow. I have built a custom made slingshot that propels the mechanism instead of a full size bow. making the weapon much more compact. This works fine, and the speed that is achievable is quite impressive. There is room for opitmization, which I may do in the near future. The setup is very stable and not dangerous. The video shows the mechanism and some shots, plus two super slomo scenes of the pellet leaving the muzzle (filmed at 1200 frames per second).

Today they will show you how an Air Filter is made! An AIR FILTER is a device which removes solid particulates such as dust, pollen, mold, and bacteria from air. Air filters are used in applications where air quality is important, notably in building ventilation systems and in engines, such as internal combustion engines, gas compressors, diving air compressors, gas turbines and others. Some buildings, as well as aircraft and other man-made environments (eg, satellites and space shuttles) use foam, pleated paper, or spun fiberglass filter elements. Another method uses fibers or elements with a static electric charge, which attract dust particles. The air intakes of internal combustion engines and compressors tend to use either paper, foam, or cotton filters. Oil bath filters have fallen out of favor. The technology of air intake filters of gas turbines has improved significantly in recent years, due to improvements in the aerodynamics and fluid-dynamics of the air-compressor part of the Gas Turbines. B-Hanny spent the better part of a year in California during 2010. In this time B-Hanny was learning at the Field Medical Training Battalion (FMTB) for Corpsman located within Camp Pendleton. The acute temperature combined with the high humidity would make working conditions extremely uncomfortable. This would encourage B-Hanny to visit his cousin Kevin located within the surrounding area. Not having a computer in California made things difficult for B-Hanny but luckily Kevin had a computer. While browsing funny videos on YouTube B-Hanny was exposed to the wildly amusing videos of "Train Horn Pranks." The constant viewing of these Train Horn Pranks made a strong impression on B-Hanny. The unsuspecting "victims" in these Train Horn Pranks showcased a fear B-Hanny wanted to take control of, but months would pass before anything transpired. Fast-forward a year later and B-Hanny becomes more involved within car modifications. At first B-Hanny begins slowly, purchasing interior alteration products including a sports grip steering wheel cover, street glow LED (Light-Emitting Diode) projector lights and VR3 LED portable car ash tray. Gradually B-Hanny became interested within car performance, and purchased a cold air intake as well as a glass pack muffler system.
